River Engineering / Restoration & Sustainable Design

Edenvale Young undertakes a range engineering restoration and sustainable design projects. Edenvale Young has along established relationship with Cain Bio-engineering for the delivery of river restoration projects such as the Purbeck Keystone Water Level Management Plan and Skenfrith Weir restoration (see below). We are currently working together on the refurbishment of Purton Spillway for British Waterways board which involves both bio engineering and civil engineering design.

Since 2002 we have also carried out a large number of Flooding Pre-feasibilty and Project Apprisal Studies for Powys County Council, Caerphilly Borough Council and the Environment Agency. All of these projects have included hydrology, hydraulic modelling, optioneering, preparation of engineering costs and economic analysis. Both Powys County Council and Caerphilly Bourough Council have completed the installation of a number of schemes. Our most resent project is the Ribchester Pre-feasibility study for the Environment Agency.
