Edenvale Young Associates was invited and appointed to undertake a Flood Risk Assessment by Ebb Tide Investments Limited for the Bath Lodge Housing Development in Lymington. The Bath Lodge development will comprise four bedroom luxury properties.
Scope of Work
The scope of works included:-
- Constructing a 2-dimensional TUFLOW model of Lymington.
- Assessing the event characteristics including the depth, velocity, speed of onset and hazards for a range of flood return periods and climate change scenarios
- Undertaking a breach failure analysis of flood defence structures and the impact of the sea defence gates on tidal flooding.
- Assessing access and egress to the development sites
- Making recommendations associated with flood warning and evacuation procedures
